The Society for the Preservation of the Lutheran Chorale
An Invitation

You are cordially invited to join our new organization, founded to promote knowledge and usage of the rich tradition of the Lutheran Chorale hymns, with its extensive liturgical, theological and biblical roots.

The S.P.L.C. was founded in 2006 in Jamestown, North Dakota, by church musicians.  We seek to promote the ongoing use of this extensive heritage of hymnody as well as the vast organ repertoire associated with it, including compositions from the 17th and 18th centuries and extending to the present day.

The SPLC has recently sponsored Vespers services at various locations in central North Dakota, including rural, urban and collegiate sites.

We seek to maintain community and regional knowledge of -- and respect for -- this tradition, and we are especially interested in traditions relating to smaller communities, including congregations where respect for the Western liturgical traditions continues.

The Society's Newsletter will be available soon, so please revisit this site to check for this upcoming feature.

Prospective members are asked to simply return an email to the address indicated on the lower left portion of this web page.

In addition, we have recently established a post office address:
